Giggles and Glinda

Ezra laughed for the 1st time on Saturday. It was the sweetest sound ever. Eliza was standing on a chair dancing (not trying to get Ezra to laugh, just being her usual diva self) when it happened. All 4 of us were in the living room at the time so we all got to hear it! He did it a few more times, each time because of something Eliza was doing. Later I tried to get him to laugh again using all sorts of antics but he just stared at me. I admit I am in no way as entertaining as she is. He's also discovered his toes. He hasn't gotten them in his mouth yet, but he's quite proud when he grabs on to them. He is such a smiley sweet baby boy.

Eliza is completely obsessed with The Wizard of Oz. She is constantly singing songs from the movie and asking us all sorts of questions about the details of the plot. The other day she suggested that perhaps Dorothy should just give the ruby slippers back to the Wicked Witch of the West, since they were her sister's, after all. Yesterday we got her a Dorothy costume to wear for Halloween. She spends a lot of time imitating the scene where Dorothy meets Glinda. "I'm Dorothy Gale from Kansas!" "Who, Toto? Toto's my dog!" She gets the inflection just right. We finally let her watch the movie, and S was surprised to learn I practically have the entire thing memorized. Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
